Got promted to post in here so here goes. I am originally from England but have lived in Florida for 15 years. Back home I had a trusty 10spd Raleigh when I was a kid. I rode it everywhere and we have some killer hills and mountains. When I moved to FL I figured I would go the mountain bike route so I could hit the many trails and still use it on the streets seen as FL is flatter than Amsterdam!!
Anyways someone talked me into signing up for a sprint triathlon this October but after finding out there is a difference between tri and road bikes, I realized that I did not want a tri bike in case I suck so I bought a regular road bike just to do a bunch of miles on to get in shape. They dont have a fat tire division at this tri but I will enter as a first timer and use my mountain bike anyway.
I bought a new 2002 Raleigh R700 from Dud Thames on MacDill in South Tampa. They are a great LBS and deserve a shameless plug :D
