Hi Everyone,
This past summer I bought a Trek 6500. It came with hydraulic disc brakes. This is the first bike I have owned with hydraulic disc brakes so I don't know what I should be doing to maintain them.
Right now the front brake squeaks very loudly if I brake hard.
Any tips of what I should do to keep my brakes in good condition? Do these need to be bled and hydraulic fluid replaced? What can I do to adjust them to stop the squeaking?
The squeaking actually sounds a lot like a horn so I've been sort of using it as such...I just brake with my rear most of the time but if I need to brake hard or if there are people in my way, I just brake with the front as well so it makes that sound and everyone gets out of the way...heh.
