This is where Deer Springs Rd. transitions from Deer Springs Rd. into Mountain Meadow Rd. as you head East after crossing over the 15 in Escondido.
I've been "eyeballing" the climb for a while.
I had a few goals....don't stop while going up, don't fall over from going too slow, and don't die coming back down! I accomplished all three....the ride down was....THRILLING to say the least. The steepest grade was 17.1% and the average was around 10.5%....just ridiculous! I'm estimating about a mile from the start to the top.....Palomar Mountain, here I come!
