Don't grieve too long Gringo Gus. I posed the question of "No More Raw Lacquer For Brompton?" on another probably more knowledgeable thread over at Brompton Talk Forum right here:

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/BromptonTalk/message/56045

And I got some surprising responses to my inquiry. So to all of you getting a bit picky about reposts.....well, my thoughts on the matter is very simple. Rather than being quick to point these occaisional ones out
or single out these "misprints," "mistakes," or whatever, I prefer to ask and probe more deeply into the topics and find out what is exactly is going on. With Raw Lacquer, perhaps you were led to believe that this
colour option will be no longer offered? I suggest that you go back to your Brompton Dealer and ask again. According to Brompton Talk members, this is a temporary problem. But I have a feeling that it will be
a long wait should you decide to go ahead and wait for your dream bike becoming a reality.
Or better yet, just contact Brompton Bicycles directly on their "Contact" page before you give up completely:

Well, if I can be frank, here's the thing. I already paid a cash deposit on a raw lacquer bike. I also entered into a credit agreement for a lot of money to buy a raw lacquer bike. My credit agreement is with a separate organization to the LBS selling me the bike, and to Brompton. Installments already being deducted. Now having signed in blood metaphorically speaking I can't back out of the credit agreement. If I could hire a lawyer I could with the LBS, but I trust and like them.

So, Brompton has let me down, and no one is offering me a discount or anything. And, you know what, I could live with that too. Indeed I have, and have ordered another colour. But, you know what too, it tells me that, in the words of some like it hot, nobody's perfect; and I love my Dahon Speed TR. Doesn't fold as small as a Tomtbron. So, not only is it apples and oranges in actual bikes, but in the service delivered by suppliers too.

I also don't care whats on some Yahoo group, and I shouldn't have to. And if Brompton insists with dealing through dealers, I shouldn't have to contact Brompton directly.

Can I apologize for that last sentence which is rude, and particularly as FF was trying to help. I am:o
