I'll make it brief. I have worn out wellgos with no cleats, and I have egg beaters on my mountain bike. I have one pair of shoes with the egg beater cleats. I want to put clipless on my road bike. I want to pay the least amount as possible, regardless of quality. Any ideas?

Move your pedals from one bike to the other. That'll cost you nothing but three minutes.
