I'm looking to put on a benefit film screening to fund a bicycle lending library in Portland, OR. I was just wondering if you guys knew of any feature length films about being a messenger or any collections of shorts. let me know.

Here's one called "2 Seconds" It's pretty good, but not 100% messenger...about a downhill mountain bike racer who gets canned then becomes a messenger...then becomes a lesbian...subtitled

Of the massbike list, my favorite is QuickSilver. It is fun to try and spot Bacons bike as it transforms from fixed to free to coaster. Good bike chase with a car in pursuit and some excellent circus/cycloball style stunt work in front of the mess. outpost.

I did not see it listed but in the mid eighties(I think) there was a PBS special done on messengers. One of the guys was called Hercules and he ate an entire box of fruit loops for breakfast every day he worked. Sorry I got no more than that.

Don't forget Beijing Bicycle which is about a kid in China who finally gets a job as a bike messager, only to have his bike stolen before he is able to pay it off.

Just put in an order for the Japanese film Messengers on VCD. I'll report back on it once I've watched it.

I've seen this movie a bunch of times on late night tv, but I never knew the title till now. I liked it. Thanks. (2 seconds, I mean.)
