I test rode these bikes last night. The Cannondale really was an eye-opener about what full suspension is all about. I couldn't even feel a curb drop. Bounce on the pedals a couple times and it bunny-hopped itself. A really sweet, light bike. Unfortunately the frame was a little big for me. The Trek fit me better, was only slightly rougher riding, 4 lbs heavier but still lighter and more responsive than my Hardrock. What a fun decision. Yes, I remembered to wipe the drool off the frames before I turned them back in.

If the Trek fit better I would go with the Trek then. However, Cannondale aluminum frames last longer and have less problems then Trek Aluminum. But that info is number of bikes sold based. Get the bike that fits.
