I have an idea that I'm gonna put together with 2X6's, steel straps, mounted on a piece of plywood. I gonna use Bow sights for the truing guides.
Find an old fork, invert it, mount the steerer into something solid and attach zip ties as feelers. You can go fancier but this way is pretty simple.
^^ Yep. Old fork in a vice and a bend piece of thin stove pipe wire. If you wanted to get real fancy, one of those slick little magnetic bases for your dial indicator.
search it on google, there are a lot of good options/ideas that you can custom tailor to your needs. Been meaning to make one myself out of piping.

Zip tie cut to length for a feeler on your fork or seat stay and you're done

It gets better...if you insert the zip tie "backwards", it is reusable.
