I got a call a few weeks back from my dealer about the fork on my wife's new 2010 Conquest Pro being recalled - he said Redline didn't provide specifics. I haven't heard a peep about it anywhere else, and haven't received a reply from Redline upon emailing them. Replacement forks were supposedly shipped to dealers last week.
Anyone have any info?

what is the point of asking on the forum? Take it to your dealer and let them replace it. Companies would rather not have recalls spread to publicly and dealers are the first to know, if it can be handled discreetly that is better for company image. Why are you questioning a free replacement fork?

Thanks for posting that. I've been considering a 2010 Redline for my next bike.
Any truth to this recall?

Today I had installed the replacement fork, the shop just recently got them in - so if you've got a 2010 Redline Conquest Pro, contact your shop.
And the reason why I ask on the forum is that I was not able to receive any information from either my shop OR from Redline about the problem.

I don't know about the recall either, but I can tell you this, almost every fork recall has to do with steer tube issues. The fork has an alloy steer tube so I would guess a bonding issue between the stear tube and the crown (I had a 2004 redline fork replaced for the same reason, not a recall though just a warrenty). I can tell you that redline seems to have great customer service in my experience so I wouldn't worry about it if you are considering this bike.
Ironically and unintentionally my 2004 has been upgraded to a very similar spec to the 2010...
same fsa headset (found this out 2 seconds ago when I looked at the spec)
full sram rival (including 180mm crank in my case)
I have shimano wheels
I put on a easton ec90x full carbon fork
3ttt bar and stem..
mine is now probably lighter than the 2010
It's simply a voluntary recall at this point.
I've been given an RMA number and been asked to pay to ship my defective fork back to where I purchased it from and they'll ship me a good new one. Since the bike is hanging and will continue to hang till April, I'm probably going to wait and see if it turns into a real recall with the CPSC involved at which point I imagine Redline will be picking up shipping both ways. If they don't have any issue with me cutting the defective fork up so it will fit in a cheap USPS flat rate box and returning it that way I may go that route but I'm a cheap bastard and bit miffed about Redline thinking I should pay to return defective parts.

Do you not have a dealer in your area? If you do it shouldn't matter where you bought it.
There is store that carries Redline, but it doesn't show up on their dealer locator thing.
