I am looking to buy a new bike with a budget of around £500, At the moment I have got in mind the:

04 Hardrock Pro Disc - £499
GT Avalanche 0.5 - £599
GT Avalanche 1.0 - £399 Reduced from £479

Is the Avalanche 0.5 really worth the extra £100

Dont just say the bike you prefer, please give reasons as well.

Thx.

The Avalance 0.5 has Hydro Discs and an MZ-Race fork I think over the 1.0. Clip pedals too.
