Been mountain riding for 14 or so years but still a novice on bike mechanics so joined up to get some help for those occasions when my mechanical enthusiasm exceeds my ability. I live in Colorado with 5 or 6 trails a short ride away from my garage. I participate (‘race’ would be an exaggeration!) in a couple of off-road triathlons each year and ride two to three times per week snow not withstanding (really should get some studded tires!). Don’t have anything against road/town biking, just not doing it at the moment. Interesting to note with regard to MTB, when running on the same trails I ride, how inconsiderate/discourteous some riders are. It’s a wonder riders aren’t banned from all public trails.
