Hi Everyone. I recently aquired a semivintage Bianchi Equinox cyclocross bike. there are brazeons placed on the right side of the DT and above the bottle bosses on the ST for a 'carrying handle'. I think I remember seeing these years ago but never knew exactly what they were. does anyone know where I could source something like this?
it is not the same as the padded thingie that was velcroed to the TT and ST to pad your shoulder.
thanks for your help

Can you post a picture of the bike and then a close up of the mounts?

Holeeeee cow. I've got an older Bianchi Axis that has extra braze-ons just like you describe, one above the water bottle on the seat tube and one on the side of the downtube. Never knew what they were for. I've stumped many a bike shop mechanic with them.

Hello OK here are a few pics. UBU this kind of fell into my lap. since I got it a month or so ago I put about 120 miles on it which is 119 more than the original owner.
se the bosses I mean? one is right by the "B" on the DT and the other is just above the CO2 mount. it seems '89 was the last year they used them

How about just make one out of some nylon webbing (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574735911&toolid=10001&campid=5336467296&customid=&icep_item=380188653352&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg)

Hi I have thought of that! I just need to find a sailmake or an upholsterer to set the eyelts for me. funny thing is we had these at a shop I used to work in and I never realized that was how they mounted. I guess I wasn't quite as smart as I thought. *giggle*

Off topic, but I love your Grizzly on your myspace page! I've got one myself, but I bastardized it and turned it into a roadish bike. It wasn't nearly as nice as yours so I had it powdercoated "mailbox" blue.

thank you. I was very bored one night and found on CL way out inf No Calif. I just ordered new Panaracer tires for it and it willl be lucky to see even a dirt road! but aside from some embelishemnts (and ditching those trek handlebars) I don't plan to do much with it.
