i've been anonymously lurking on here for a few weeks, and today i thought that i should finally sign up and introduce myself. i noticed the entire forum dedicated to introductions; but decided that since i'll probably spend most of my time in this forum, i'd just do it here.
i'm an eighteen year old guy from north carolina who just took the plunge into the world of fixed gear bicycling. in fact, my recently purchased beater is also my first "real" bike. needless to say, i'm in love with it. the minimalistic approach to things is right up my alley, and i think will serve as a good introduction to the basics of bicycle mechanics.
anyway, i just thought i'd establish some sort of presence on the forum. i look forward to reading everything i can on here, and learning along the way.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
