Does anyone know where to find slick tires for my cyclocross bike? Any reason why road" tires (700 x 23 or 25) won't fit my cyclocross rims (Bianchi Axis '03) well? All road tires seem to be 700 x 23-25, while cyclocross tires are x 32-35. I'm planning to do a century and would like to ride slicks instead of typical c-cross tires.
thanks,

I just picked up some 700 x 28 Conti ultra gator slicks from biketiresdirect.com. Smallest size my rims (Salsa Delgado, wider than most) will handle.
Nashbar is always closing out slicks. Don't worry, the skinnier tires will fit the rims. Or just use a wider slick tire, less chance of flatting if you are a rough rider.
Thanks all. I appreciate your advice.
