85%. Missed the question about when the Constitution was written, what form to apply for naturalization, which amendment didn't guarantee voting rights, and which three rights were guaranteed by the Bill of Rights (over thought that one!). :)

Maybe I should move to Canadia?
You answered 45% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:
45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score
95%. I didn't know the form # on 19.

I already had to take it once, ain't taking it again!:p
Bagged 100%. I guessed on the form, and for a few of the questions, the options were very easy. Had the test had questions like "name the 13 colonies", or "name all Supreme Court justices" as opposed to multiple choice, it would have been a lot harder.

thats what most people say, then they come to the U.S for some reason or another and decide they want to call it home. Oh yeah, they are the same people that cry up a storm when INS catches up with them and wants to deport them. :innocent:
95, amendment dealing with voting rights got me... went with the text to figure out the form # question.

Mostly tripped up by what's what in the constitution.

100%, but I had to guess at the INS form, although 'application' was a nice clue. Also wasn't sure about the 7th amendment.
As usual, it's better to be lucky than good.
I just want to know how many guessed 'New Zealand' as one of the original 13 States.

I'm not sure if everyone knows that I'm a dual citizen. I'm Canadian *and* American. That's why I'm so embarassed about my lousy score on that test. I need to get out my Idiot's Guide to US History again. lol

Ha ha, 85% and I'm not even American. Actually I could have been, I was born in the States to Canadian parents, and raised in Canada from age 2 years.
What's your story, Luddite?
Luddite
11-27-09, 03:35 PM
Did your parents live in the USA until the age of 21 and can prove that? You should get your citizenship, means you can travel in the US/live there/whatever/ hassle-free.
My mom showed up on a census after age 21 in the States, it was the only way we could prove I'm a US citizen, was kind of a PITA.
ETA: you're set, you were born there! You should get your passport etc. :D

I took the test about 4 years ago when I became a citizen. Learned all 100 questions off by heart and every thang. Then when the lady asked me "What is Congress?" I had a brain-fart and couldn't remember. I stared at her in a blank stupor for about a year before suddenly remembering the answer.
It was fun testing native born Americans on the questions though. I can remember one girl getting quite irate when I tried to tell her that the USA really did fight Germany, Japan AND Italy in World War 2. She was adamant that Italy was and always has been an ally.

85. I think that number 19 should be tossed out, since natural born citizens would not know what it was unless they printed/handed out/collected them...
What's sad is the last I heard, only 30% of my state's HS seniors knew what the Constitution was.

95%. I didn't know the form # on 19.Me too. As a "natural born" U.S. citizen, I have had no reason to be familiar with immigration forms.
80%. That darn ammendment stuff is a little fuzzy. Probably not bad for a Canuck though.

This was pretty easy, though I had to guess on the name of the form. The question on the form is idiotic because if you wouldn't be able to apply for citizenship without figuring that out first.
If memorizing trivia is relevant to anything, perhaps we should toss out all those who advocate these requirements for people entering who cannot pass the test themselves. Or perhaps see if they can get the birth country or religion of our current president correct.

While most Americans worry about petty dictators invading from the south (many of us are still shaking from that nail biting time when the president announced the Sandanistas were only two days driving time from Harlington, TX), the reality is that our northern neighbors have amassed 90% of their population along the border in preparation for a full scale invasion. Yet most Yanks trust the Canucks more than anyone else. Go figure.
90%. Missed the voting right amendment question and the form required for naturalization. If you are really bored, you should read "Gentleman Revolutionary" about Gouverneur Morris. He did the editing/rewrite on the Bill of Rights and saved us from some of the most convoluted lanquage ever concieved by politicians.
