I thought about it but Pfft!:D.....A day with the family instead. Gina cooked the turkey and my 28 yo daugher Danielle prepared the feast! More selections and food than I could handle!:D:thumb:

I put in a quick 20 mile sunrise ride up the SART - only a few brave souls out at that hour with me.....nothing like the brisk morning air to get Thanksgiving day started.

Sure did. Rode up Chantry Flats. I saw a few riders up there. I was hurting and my legs felt sluggish. Oh well, I got up there eventually.

Sure did! Did a quick 20 miler up san dimas cyn, over to golden hills down Esperanza to baseline. Took Baseline to Indian hill to bonita back to puddingstone.. Nice 20 miler to start off the day... and to make some room for the all day eating fest! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Is anyone doing SART tomorrow? There's a good chance I'll be out there if I get a early start to the day.. Beanz, ever ride to the SART from home? Been thinking of taking Diamond Bar blvd. to Brea cyn to the Kramer entrance down to Huntington.. Any advice?

55 miles, 2400' with CVC. Had some headwind which definately took some of the fun out of it but what the heck....good company and fantastic weather.

Yup, some 36 solo miles around town and through a local valley (Hidden Valley). Experienced some of the same headwind nesdog mentioned :)

126941No bicycling, but went hiking up Mt. Baldy. Beautifully clear, cool day on top, a liitle breezy, and very few people up along the road (six bicyclists in the PM). Shot is looking west from the top; West Baldy is the peak in the foreground, the north tip of Catalina Island is on the far left.

I've ridden from Riverside Dr/Peyton and Grand Ave before, same direction that oyu're doing and also thru Carbon Canyon (which would be out of your way), so nothing really new to add as far as advice except start early to avoid traffic!:D

Managed a bit of riding. To work, then I took the long way home to squeeze in 40 miles.

I rode with the Foothill Cycle club for about 25 miles. My son was visiting with his family from NY, so I put him on my spare bike (which fits him better than me) and he came along. We had a great time. No traffic, perfect weather. Later on Thanksgiving my younger son came down from Carpinteria with his bike, and the three of us rode today. A milestone. They both roared up Salvia Canyon Road a lot faster than I could. I'm proud of them.

Hey, we went through Hidden Valley as well! Maybe you saw our group (Conejo Valley Cyclists), about 30 riders? We did Westlake to HV, out Dos Vientos and dropping to Camarillo. Climb back Santa Rosa, Read bypass to Olson and then returning. I bugged out at Erbes and headed Westlake Blvd to Kanan for the route back to Agoura.

Way more wind out in the flatlands by the coast.

I need to find a local clyde clube. I'm getting too old and fat to ride with the Herbs, JustMe s, Eyemages, MTBLurkers, Alexes etc.:D

Thirty miles solo around Palm Springs after dinner. The roads were almost empty, it was great. Everyone else in my house took a food coma induced nap. I was the only one not having severe stomach pains the next day. Have I mentioned I love my bike? I love my bike.

Rode 52 miles, from Texas Springs Campground at 0', then down to Hwy 190 at -170', then up to Dante's View at 5475', then back to camp. Fun. Very steep, and steeper as the ride went on, still fun. A good 5600' climb in 25 miles, the last 1500' in the last four or so miles. Death Valley has a lot of good places to ride.

Rode from WLA to Ventura, to meet family and drive back with them. Up PCH, through Oxnard, just beautiful! Took about 4 hours, had one flat, but the winds were mostly in my favor and helped make up the time. A bit cold at the start, but it warmed up nicely, and was just a terrific way to start the day.

Jen & I ran Coyote Creek/San Gabriel river for a semi quick 20 mile out and back. Beautiful going out, the last 5 coming back to the trail head the headwinds started picking up and slowed things down a bit.

The only thing turning that day was my concrete mixer. I think I mixed and poured about a yard of concrete before feasting. :D

51 miles-- from Santa Monica into PV and back. It was another one of those days where you just feel really lucky to be a SoCal cyclist!

Jackie and I were up in Big Bear, so did a couple laps around the lake, one pretty direct anti-clockwise, then one with lots of "bike route" roads clockwise, with a stop at Starbucks in Big Bear City. The ride through Fawnskin reminds me of Ride Around the Bear! 48 miles, 1,346 feet of climbing.

Then it snowed on Sat. and Sun. (about 11" total) so no riding those days! Lots of snow shoveling though.

Also, Beanz, if you start feeling too old to ride with those young guns, you can ride with me since I'm 10+ years older than you anyway!
