Foo - Bar Fights

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yep, we were in the middle of one Wednesday night. Doing our thing as the bar band, playing a song (Working for the Weekend) and a guy gets tossed onto the stage and then tackled by another guy. Somehow our singer managed to side step both and not miss a word.
Bouncers tossed both out the front door. Next time we play this place we are going to require chicken wire around the stage.:D

You gotta love when that happens! I've been around a handful of bar fights (never been involved in one). In the last one two meathead steroid freaks started pounding on each other (over a girl from what I could tell). A bunch of bouncers struggled to break them up and drag them out the door. As one of them was getting dragged out by like three guys he managed to grab the other guy by the back of his collar dragging him across the floor with him. The bouncers eventually managed to toss them though.
Alcohol and 'roids don't mix well...
The best I've seen was a one punch fight, the lesson was don't be the first out the door.

That is what bass guitars are for, just give them the old "el kabong" if they get to close. :D

Hmmm... I'm the bass player. My main axe is an American made Fender P, which cost about $1500. My backup/country axe is a 5 string Yamaha RB series that cost nearly $2000. I am thinking that my foot is a cheaper alternative. The keyboard player did suggest to Diane (the singer) that the next time it happens her Sure SM-58 is just as good as any night stick, just as tough, and will keep working no matter how hard you swing it.

This was recorded Tuesday night, same place, during happy hour. Opening song, so the sound guy was still tweaking. How close are we?
