Anybody want to give an estimate for this Cinelli SC women's bike? It has a gold plated stem on it and was originally a gift to a very well known Italian opera singer, who at the time was married to perhaps the best known Italian TV entertainer.

Slightly OT: Are those Campagnolo lever bodies, or Ofmega/Galli?

I believe the gruppo to be Triomphe with different pedals and brake levers. The bike is more impressive in real life than in the photos that I have posted here.

The drivetrain is Triomphe - I'd recognize it anywhere. I'm quite curious about those brake levers though - rather nice looking.

I would very much like to hear the story behind this. Its creation and how you came to have it.

I initially thought "Carla Bruni," and that would be a fairly well-traveled saddle.....

The bike is still in Italy. I am thinking about buying it, but have set myself a rule that says that if I can't ride the bike myself, I cannot spend more for the bike than what I can reasonably expect to get for it were I to need to sell under duress. A much more important and beautiful Cinelli will however be arriving shortly... The seller of this bike is asking what I believe to be a fair price, which is however quite a bit more than the $700 indicated by miamijim

He must highly value the frame or perhaps my quesstimate of the frames value was low. I figure everything except the frame can be acquired for $150 placing the frames value at $500+ depending on historical provenance and there lies the problem. In Italy 'Katia Ricciarelli' may mean something but here in the States people are going to say "who"? In all honesty clincher wheels on a ladies frame would be more desireable. Altough the U.S. tends to be more lucrative market for C&V bikes something like that may be more suitable for the Italian market.
That being said, if I could get a ballpark idea on the asking price I may know a lady who'd be interested.
