View Full Version : Dirty Laundry

I'm in some odd mood to air some of my dirty laundry. Some back story here. I haven't seen this girl in over 6 months. I respond with the way I responded in this series of IM's. I've told this person on several occasions before that I'm not interested in a relationship with her, sexual (I admittedly was interesting in sex only for a while but have disclosed otherwise since then) or anything outside of a friend. I get these little messages on a periodic basis. Because I don't want to respond to her, I thought I would share what my thoughts are to the foosters.
First off, I cooked dinner for some of my close friends. I do this on a pretty regular basis when I'm home. Secondly, I'm not a player. I don't mislead people. I'm forward and honest about what my intentions are every time I have some sort of encounter. If anything, I think I'm just the opposite. Thirdly, I'm not sure how I let her down. Again, I've never misled this person in any kind of way. I'm not sure how she can misread "If you want to be friends and contact me every now and then that's fine, but I seriously don't want to be in a relationship with you outside of that."

[5:45:13 PM] Her: Im waiting for you, with nothing on...........
[6:14:04 PM] Me: i have company
[6:14:45 PM] Her: oh, like work company or play? I thought you were out of town?
[6:15:35 PM] Her: nevermind dont answer that, now im just being nosey
[6:16:13 PM] Her: okay well, I will bank on no, so i wil ttyl.
[8:48:31 PM] Her: (d)
[9:43:03 PM] Her: :( why must you be a player? Do you even have a heart at all? Any feeling to you at all, like do you ever feel guilty? Or bad about someting you have done?
[9:52:15 PM] Her: okay since your not on here I will vent to an open space...........Your an awesome guy, you have so much "good guy" potential, yet you dont even come off that way, you come off as a typical guy, your **** (Short for Richard) gets in the way of everything. Why even waste your time talking to me? You have planty of other, closer booty calls aroung you, so why me? Thats all I am to you anyway. If thats all you think of me as then count me out. I am not that kinda person, not anymore, yeahy I want attention, but not that damn bad, Im better than that. You are a great friend, but to see that you look at me as a piece of ass, kills me, and to make it worse, you act like my friend kinda, then treat me like any other **** (Duck anyone?), thats not fair, it sucks. When will you stop? Im sad for you, its almost a waste, like most days when I think "man crackerjab is an awesome guy, hes such a good friend" you let me down later, so the one guy I have some faith in for mankind, and you show me, there is absolutly no hope in men, period. They are all the same arent they?

Flame or discuss. Either way.

Where do you find these women? Isn't this about the third time this has happened to you, where a woman thinks you have an interest but you don't?

Not much to discuss really, stay away from this one. She's trying to hem you up. Keep your distance and just live your life. Hang with your friends and find the woman you care about and cares about you.

I suggest you screen your calls for the next little while. If you told her in plain, simple Engligh that you aren't interested in a relationship then the woman is a bit out of her mind.

Good luck! And be careful.

I third time that I've discussed it on here. I've had some much worse ones. I attract the crazies apparently.

Exactly. The one thing I fail to say when explaining I'm not interested in a relationship is that I'm not interested in relationship with "you".

So wait. I'm confused. What happened to the boss's sister?

Oh and I saw a helicopter salesman today at the mall and thought of you.

But nevermind that. What happened to the sister?

She got back together with the guy she had been seeing and moved to PA.

This is depressing. I assumed this thread was going to be about just how dirty laundry really gets. Maybe get some helpful hints on washing the stuff, or how to keep it from getting so dirty so fast. I hand wash a lot of my clothes and am always fascinated by the amount of gunk they accumulate. It's disgusting and fascinating all at the same time. This is probably how the guys at Whirlpool and Tide got started.

Run away. She's psycho. I think you were pretty clear with your statement that you didn't want to be in a relationship.

There are normal women on the planet. Work harder to find a non-crazy one.

Is this on Yahoo IM? If so, I suggest you discover the "Ignore" button. She sounds like she has more than one puzzle piece missing, at least to me.

Crazies should be handled like dogs -- if you run away, you will only excite/provoke them. But CJ needs to figure out what he's doing to attract these wackos. Normal people rarely have to deal with this kind of stuff.

It doesn't matter how or where you find these "girls" but just admit you like the attention. You like this talk show-like "drama" they feed you so that there is something to talk about. You are just as needy as the females you attract. If this were not true, you would not air your dirty business and laundry here.

Me: What are you doing for Christmas?
Her: Nothing why?
Me: Well, I have a surprise gift for you Christmas.
Her: Oh, I love surprises.
Me: Yeah you're gonna love this one. But you're gonna have to get naked for it.
Her: Oh yay!

The gift (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwGP9DAAi4A) that keeps on giving.

Crackerjab, have you gotten a chance to reiterate what you told her in the past, that you're not interested in a relationship (with her)?

Well, my responses are generic in the sense that I say I don't want to be in a relationship, which is true for the most part. However, I should probably spell out that I don't want to be in a relationship with her specifically.

Hmm...I don't know which way to lean on that one...I could argue for and against telling her that much.

All she does is sends those little notes from time to time when she's in a bad mood. If she were to come over unannounced in the middle of the night or something like that, I would take the dickhead approach.

A simple and clear statement is the best. Saying that you aren't interested in a relationship should be enough. Don't offer any explanations, caveats or anything else. If the messages you referred to in your original posts are just texts or emails, then put her on "ignore" or block her address. I imagine it's annoying to get these notes from her, but if you continue trying to explain the situation, that will continue to give her some of the contact that she is seeking. Sometimes people act out in this way to get attention. Even negative attention seems to satisfy some of these people - either that or taking the time to annoy others. Any additional information you provide is fodder for these people to feed off of and continue the discussion which you sought to end.

Earlier this year a guy that I used to date sent me friend requests on both facebook and twitter. I thought it was odd because he was the one who broke the relationship off and we've had no contact since then. I have no desire to start the relationship up again or have any contact with him. I just ignored it and fortunately he's not done anything since.

Yes, you need to spell things out much more clearly.

[5:45:13 PM] Her: Im waiting for you, with nothing on...........
[6:14:04 PM] Me: i have company

That's a pretty ambiguous response. It could be taken as, "I'd be interested, but I have company."

A clear response would be "You can keep waiting forever, but I'll never be interested in you."

Sounds harsh but it's better than misleading/stringing her along. Since broad hints don't seem to work for her you will have to be much more direct.

You know what really sucks Crackerjab? ... When you go #2 and your man bags fall into the water. Don't worry my friend; it will happen to you someday. It happened to me on my birthday at the age of 35!

With that said, stay away from this girl. If you have to get a restraining order, do so!

Go easy on the dude -- we all like to feel wanted.

Though it is preferable to be wanted by attractive intelligent women with many options than psychos who latch onto you like a bear trap...

I've had relationships (?) like that. Of course, mine were mostly flirty with occasional benefits. Very obviously mutual that no strings were attached. The couple times that didn't happen, well...you learn your lessons, y'know?

Rent Fatal Attraction or Play Misty For Me. This is not a door you want to open. Some women think that the way to a man's heart is through his fly. But if it doesn't work out, you will see the crazy in her. Just don't ever respond. You can also block her number. Maybe you like the back and forth.
