At the LBS yesterday - I asked how you pronounce Campagnolo and got three different responses from three different employees: camp'-uh-no-lee, camp-a'-nyo-lo, and camp'-uh-no-lo

Is there a bicycle pronunciation guide out there? Plenty of Italian companies producing products with Italian names, and ignorant Americans such as myself with no clue how to say them.

I can build a bike...just don't ask me what parts I'm using...because I'll mumble, stutter, and trail off into an awkward silence...

Just say "gimme those Champ one 0" French top drawer stuff.
Pull out a wad of dough, they'll understand.

"I said FRENCH!, not JAPANESE!" Sound like your ordering dinner in Chez Paul.

Drink some red wine first, so they know you may get beligerant if not serviced well.

Learn to say Campagnolo with a perfect accent and mock them, as a nasty french bike racer would.

And leave a reasonable tip, perhaps the rest of the bottle of red wine (French, expensive).

Guess you could learn to say "Ritchey" or "Shimano" eww, my tongue feels nasty, that S-word.

Only 3 S (shudder) himano pieces left on my build.
