Greetings.

I have a pair of Endura bibtights (with chamois) that I've worn alone down to 25F or so. That was workable but I'd like to be warmer and ride colder.

What should I look at?:

1) Standard tights over the bibtights?
2) Leg warmers over the bibtights?
3) Something else?

I think what I have is about as warm as I'm going to find in a single layer. I have no problem layering above the waist as I have clothing from other activities that works just fine.

But below the waist has me befuddled as to the best thing to do. Any thoughts?

I go to shorts plus thermal, polyprobylene, long underwear underneath my tights. Not fancy but it does the job.

in MN? Hmm...I absolutely despise layers on my legs, so I usually go with a thin, polar-tec vest when it starts to dip below the mid 20's. It has a zipper I can use in case I heat up too much.

Adding a bit more to your core tends to distribute heat to your other parts just fine IMO.

I would wear knee or leg warmers under your tights. I already have both options and wear depending on the temperature. Sometimes I wear my knee warmers over my leg warmers for additional warmth when I don't want to wear the bib tights.
