Hello,

Wondering if you wouldn't mind talking me out of or into buying this "Opaque Blue" p-14 track bike:

"23" frame ... i bought this on ebay a few years back with the intention of using it as my daily commuter, but i just couldn't bring myself to do it ... it's a beautiful bike and someone needs to ride it! campy, unicanitor, mavic open pro rims & continental tires, nitto stem and bar, and NOS schwinn-approved front brake ... included in sale are the [mismatched] tubular rims that came on the bike ... i took the bike apart and cleaned and re-greased all the parts, built clincher rims, and rode it at most 50 miles ... it has been sitting in my basement since i acquired it ... i know i will regret selling this someday ... $900 ... enjoy!"

$900 is too high for a mix-n-match bike. There is a minimum amount of intrinsic value there, the frame and fork is worth X, Unicanitor seat Y, Campy track crank Z, etc., but I'm not seeing $900.

That's how I'm seeing it also... I'm going to take a look and see if the seller is amenable to this view also. I've just been searching and searching for a track frame in this size and era for so long now.

If that is the original fork, I'm also wondering how he was able to mount a front brake... pics from the 1973 catalog don't show how this would be possible.

Drilled front forks were a factory Paramount option. The other option would have been to do it at home.
