I was thinking about all the different types of MTBs and what I've read about the dis/advantages of each, and I wonder how a rigid 29er front/26er rear would perform. Are there any bikes that come this way? Would it be laughed at regardless of performance? Other thoughts?

I'm guessing that's why Cannondale stopped making 26/24" bikes back in the day. And the availability of good 24" tires.
