It actually found a thread using the BF search http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?461091-Google-Chrome/page2&highlight=google+chrome You might say it found itself.

Anyhoo, it pretty much sucks. My dense brain finally figured out that it's not really a browser, but one bloated pop-up with embedded web navigation.:crash:

But on the plus side, that damn vB4 icon is gone.:thumb:

EDIT: (on Firefox atm) that vB4 icon is gone, w/o using AdBlock :love::love:

Um, that icon is gone now (IE8), but man the formatting is all weirded out. Everything I did using both Chrome orginially, then FF to add to it, in the OP now appears double spaced.

You might give IE8 a shot. Not to be too shillish, but it's loading a lot faster than Chrome, and has the rearrangeable tabs like Chrome does. Anyone know if the tabs are individual, where if one crashes, it doesn't crash the whole enchilada??

Google Chrome is the best browser right now, FF is buggy and laggy more than its past versions. Chrome uses less system resources and Java runs faster on Chrome, why?? IDK but it does I use allot of Java Apps with my browsing and Chrome goes faster, and it helps my very crappy 1 gig clock speed dell D420 laptop.

Chrome is the best thing to happen to web browsers in a while.

Regarding the OP, I have no idea what the heck they are talking about.

I hated Chrome at first....but kept using it. It does have issues on a few pages here and there, but if you have a few main places you go a lot that it works for.....it is great. Much faster than others.....not that it doesn't have a few issues.

Firefox has grown too much and got pretty buggy. I'm beginning to dislike Firefox quite a bit.

Been using Chrome for most things for the last several months now. Got a rude wake up call when I first tried hitting my website with it after developing it mostly under IE7 which resulted in more than a couple hours of work on getting things to look visually correct across both browsers (but something that I should have done long before then). I especially like that each tab is its own instance, so if one tab crashes it doesn't take the entire set of tabs with it.

Chrome doesn't suck as bad as I originally thought. It's got a UI that is very clean and the omnibar allows for a larger font than most other browsers. But I still have Flash issues. I'll come across an embedded video here on BF that simply will not play (for me) while using Chrome. Then I've got to open Firefox in order to view the vid.

Would installing something like VLC, FLV, GOM, or RealPlayerSP help or hinder things?

Chrome works great on XP for me. I tried safari and went back to Chrome. Been using Chrome for about 6 month now, pretty much exclusively.
