Mountain Biking - Knobby 26x1.5" Tires - Where can I find some??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Where the hell can I find 26x.1.5" knobby tires? I'd like some for cyclocross/snow, but everywhere I look seems to be sold out/discontinued.

QBP - Discontinued and/or sold out of Michelin/Continental
J&B Importers - Only carries slicks, not knobby.
Bike tires direct - Carries only 2.0" or above.

This thread could belong in cyclocross, but since cyclocross is technically 700c, I thought this belonged better in MTB.

I was somewhat the opposite...trying to turn my old Giant Rincon hardtail into a "semi-road bike" for winter use with a not slick, not knobby tire. I found these which seemed to fit the bill:

According to Schwalbe's ratings it seemed to be a fast, grippy tire, exactly what i was looking for. User reviews seemed very positive too.

Is it my imagination that it seems that companies aren't making as many thinner 26" tires since CX really got going?

@khatfull: I think you're right. It seems both continental & michelin have stopped producing/supplying their 1.5 26" tires since cx has become more popular. Perhaps most CXers are using 700c? I dunno...
