I have an '01 XL Boron. I don't know if the new EV frame is substantially different or not, but I love mine.

Typical steel-smooth and comfortable, with very responsive but stable (not overly nervous or twitchy) handling at speed. I can't speak to the subject of frame stiffness with much authority, being a lightweight recreational-only rider. I do know that I feel faster riding the Bianchi than I do on my Serotta LT.

My 58cm XL weighs 18lbs 15oz with '04 Centaur/Chorus mix, FSA compact CF double crank, Bianchi OEM (Time?) full carbon fork and Bianchi/Ambrosi 'Levitation' wheels and Vittoria Rubino tires.
