Southeast - Need suggestions for routes near Mammoth Cave

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'll be in the Mammoth Cave area in the next few weeks and if the weather cooperates, I want to explore the area. I'll probably only have time for a couple of short rides (30-40 miles).
Here are two I am thinking about:

I don't need to start at the park though. If anyone has any suggestions for something more scenic, challenging, etc. I'd like to hear them.
Thanks

You might want to check out Ketucky State Parks for some trail information. Also through the website of "Bikes and Moore", a bike shop in Hopkinsville may be able to direct you to some trails or to bike clubs in the area that could suggest some ideas. Check out bike shop web sites in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown and Louisville....there must be some infor on trails around Mammoth cave. I know my reply is long and drawn out, but it may be of help through some diffierent ideas and opinions. I hope it helps.

The Bowling Green, KY club has a road ride there which I think is called Tour de Cave. It's a 65ish mile figure 8 ride. If it's not too late, snoop around their website and try to find a contact or two. It is definately in their area. I'm in Campbellsville, which is a little too far away (60 miles or so). Good luck and enjoy your stay in my neck of the woods. http://www.bglob.com/
