Foo,
We all know that life can become hard at times. Sometimes it becomes so intense it's nearly impossible to figure out how to break free from the stress and craziness. Many people find vices to help cope with daily pain and suffering. Some find religion and the comfort of community at church. Many resort to other unmentionable devices that shouldn't be mentioned in a PG-13 forum like this. But with that said, I've found my vice.
The other day I was at my parent’s new home in Perrysburg Ohio. Some of my close friends here on Foo know the story about my Father's physical rehabilitation as a result of a stroke he had earlier this year. But not many of you may know that one of my friends here on Foo has helped with his recovery. While sitting next to my father last Saturday, his dog walked up to me with a ball in her mouth. (Man, I wish I would have taken a picture of Daisy that moment but dad had to be wheeled to the restroom. ) Anyway, the ball she had in her mouth was sent to my father in hopes it would help in the recovery of his left hand by our good friend jsharr. I thank you Jeff for sending your balls my family’s way. It gave me a big chuckle seeing one of your balls in Daisy's mouth by the way.
Now back to my new found vice. Some of you may be thinking that my new found vice is jsharr's balls. Well, part of that may be true, but you should know my Vice is friendship and the caring nature of people. During jsharr's last days at his old job at THE BALL MAKING FACTORY, he found the time to send my father an assortment of balls to help Dads with his therapy. For this, I want to thank you Jeff. Your simple act of kindness, along with many other friends of mine here, has reminded me what it is to be human with a funny slant on life.
Peace,
Couch
