Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - The True Masi

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

this had a similar effect, but it wasn't tears that were the fluid that was streaming.

Brand snobs.
As long as the frame rides how you like it, fits you, and the welds hold up, who gives a cr@p where it's made?

The thing I love the best about bikeforums is people like yourself who don't really treat it like a "cycling forum" so much as an "internet message board losely related to cycling" and spend so much time disconnected from people who actually ride their bikes that they think posting image macros for a long enough period eventually lends them credibility.

Glad you liked my bike. It wasn't a "real" Masi though. It was one of those fake Taiwanese/USA collaborations ;)
Sold it now though.

you're right, let me correct myself:
people tarckin' out any frame whatsoever has nothing to do with who makes them
you do know my comment was a reply to adriano, right

everytime I see don's Masi, I LOL.
What's your new frame? You should trade one of those spinergy rims and just have on on your bike. I think two aerospokees/hed3/spinergy wheels on any bike looks bad.
Who designs the Haro Masis? I'm sure someone who knows road bikes does them. At least I hope so.

Funny enough, the "best" Masis were those built here in the US in the late 70's/early 80's. The guys that were hired to build those are now famous custom builders in their own right.

Nah, I sold the whole lot. I couldn't park in the bike park places in Tokyo because of the deep rims. The bike parks have a pair of clamps that lock around the rim of the front wheel. Can't use it with deep section carbonara wheels. I got fed up and wanted something a bit more practical. So I sold it all for ¥150,000 and bought a Fuji Track Comp from the states for ¥70,000 including shipping to Tokyo. That was the bike I wanted originally but I couldn't buy it in Japan.
Eventually I might get a Keirin frame, but I might just save my 円 for a new DH bike and try to not throw money at the bastardized USA owned/built in Taiwan Fuji.
