Hybrid Bicycles - Dew Size?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Theres a kona dew for sale about 2 hours away from me, its a 52 cm (20.5") frame.
Im 5'8" with a 28.5" inseam. Im just wondering, does the 52cm frame size mean the length of the seat tube is 52cm?

I have a 52cm Dew Deluxe. (Basically the same frame). I am 5'8 with about the same inseam. The bike fits me perfectly. How sure are you of the size, it looks smaller based on the head tube, but I see the size sticker is still on it (top tube by the seat tube).
52cm is the distance from the center of the bottom bracket (the axle), to the center of the top tube (where it would theoretically be if the top tube did not slope).
Complete geometry for the Dew is available at Konaworld dot com... data includes
standover height. It lists 29.6 inches as the standover.
It is a great bike.

I'm 5'9" with a 31" inside leg. I've got a 54cm Dew Plus - I certainly would go with a 52 and I would consider a 56cm frame to reduce pedal overlap and to give a bit more stretch to the bars. But I think 54 is right for me. The tech forum on the konaworld website has quite a few sizing posts (you'll need to register though to be able to read all of them).
Great bike - how much is it going for?

Scroll to the bottom for geometry chart(which is actually kind of messy).

Saw the chart, i looked at this pic and thought it was pretty small.
Im going to take a look at my old roadie, i think its a 50cm seat tube, ill see if i can try a 52cm dew in a local store, as this one is a 2 hour drive away, its going for 260 USD, fair price? comes with a basic computer, fenders rack etc.

[QUOTE=dawes56;10107074]I have a 52cm Dew Deluxe. (Basically the same frame). ...
One would think that after owning a bike for 3 plus years with the size decal still on the frame that one would remember that he has a 54cm Dew Deluxe.
Now I know why the 52cm bike pictured looks smaller than mine!
So, I am 5'8", inseam around 29", 54cm bike fits fine. Kona site says 54cm has a 29.8 inch standover. I rode a 52 and a 56 before buying the 54cm bike. As I recall, the issue was not really seat tube length, but rather top tube length. I felt cramped on the 52 and stretched out on the 56.
That's my story and I am sticking to it.
As to price...a new 2010 Dew lists at 449. Could not find the list price for the 2009. I guess if the bike is in fairly new condition it is worth the 260USD.

Sorry - typo - meant to say I wouldn't go with a 52 - it would've been too small.
