I have the Serfas FP-100 and inner tubes with the Presta valve. While nothing is wrong with the tire, itself, I keep trying to re-inflate the tire and, I keep hearing the hissing. I know the pump is not on right. I keep looking for diagrams on the Net. I know that, the pressure in the tire is the only problem with it. I hope someone can tell me what I need to do to, make sure that, it is on right.

I have never used a dual-format pump before, but are you sure the valve is far enough in? It could also be a faulty pump, you can check that by using a schrader adaptor and see if it still hisses...if it does, it could very well be the pump. At that point take it to your LBS and have them verify it's bad before sending it back.

While your reply was not the feedback I needed, I congratulate you because it triggered something in my brain to take a closer look at the valve stem, bike pump and, bike manual.
