The shifters that come with the OCR 2, Shimano Tiagra STI 9 speed, I was wondering if I would be able to replace the grey caps that are above the shifter lever in case of an accident since that is the only place on the shaifter that get scratched. Is it possible?

I'm not sure. I should find out next week when my bike goes in for it's repairs though. I'll tell you if I do find out.

You can have your LBS order them from Shimano. Last I heard they were about $7-8 each.

I wasn't sure if they ordered the plastic part he's talking about, or if they ordered just the hood which is what was seriouslly messed up after my accident.

I just need the plastic top cap. I mean my friend needs them :) Just incase he does scratch the up on his 6 day old bike.. Obvisouly the crank arms on his new road bike are longer then the ones that came on his mountain bike which would limit how tight of a circle you can ride in while pedaling.
