Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Are there any good lotions out their other than the big buck ones at the bike shops?
If you don't already have saddle sores, any good hand lotion/moisturizer should work. I just use Neutragena unscented Body Moisturizer. Some people use Vaseline or Bag Balm.

There is a thing called Salve. It comes in a red tin. I don't think it should be too expensive. I'm not completely sure where to get it. The stuff we have is call Watkins' Petro-Carbo Salve. Look it up on the net. If you have any farmers around, try asking them where to get it. They'll get the stuff they use for cow udders from the same place if I'm not mistaken. I've used it on severe road rash, and it's helped to heal it. As for preventative. I'm not really sure on that one, I've never had a problem with saddle sores, knock on wood.

I like Assos chamios cream for two reasons first it works and second it makes boys feel all tingly when I put on my shorts!
