Northern California - Need help with route on north side of Benicia Bridge

I'd like to take the new bike lane across the Benicia Bridge. What are the options on the north end of the bridge if I'm on a road bike? Is there a decent route for heading toward the Carquinez Bridge?

Here's the route sheet we used on the day of the bike path opening. We started at the Martinez marina and rode north across the Benicia bridge, attended the opening ceremony, and then continued on to the Zampa (Vallejo) bridge to get to Carquinez Scenic Dr. which took us back to Marinez. So the portion of the route below that would get you from the north end of the Benicia bridge to the north end of the Vallejo one is from mile 3.8 to mile 12.6.

We went through Vallejo and up and over Lake Herman Road. That was nice.

Here is a nice 16 mile loop around North Benicia/Vallejo that I really like. I have ridden it a few times now.

Be sure to stop at Lake Herman it is a real nice spot for water, bathrooms and a nice view of the lake.
You can continue past the lake and then turn Left on Columbus Parkway. This will take you to and through Benicia State Park and you can then go through quaint downtown Benicia to get back to the bridge. Sorry I can't post a link to the route right now, Ride with GPS is in one of it's moods right now and wont save routes. Here is a cue sheet.
