Hi. I just recently purchased a bike (Trek 7100), and am getting really excited about the idea of riding regularly. I'm in Southern California at the moment, but am just a few weeks away from returning to school in the San Jose area. I hope to ride my bike everywhere, and am looking forward to getting a lot more excercise with it.

welcome aboard. Your library can get you a book called Effective Cycling by Forester. It can really help.
