Ugh. Washed all the bed linen stuff, including the futon cover. Verily, I loathe putting the duvet cover back on, what a PITA. lol. Worth it though, almost nothin' beats snuggling up in fresh sheets etc under flannel blanket and feather duvet.

I have been touched by death quite a bit this week. A friend of mine from highschool had some sort of complication with her pregnancy and died. The baby lived but is in NICU. A leader in our scout pack lost his three year old daughter due to illness. A dear friend lost her grandfather to dementia and a friend of my wife lost her father to cancer.

And then while reading this morning, I came across a passage from Edna St. Vincent Millay that rang true to me.

When me and the ex divorced, my little dog Minnie (she's passed away since then) wouln't have anything to do with the ex. It's like she knew the ex had walked out on us. The ex would come by to pick up her stuff (we didn't fight and had divorced on good terms) and she would hug and pet Minnie. Minnie would clearly snarl and look at me as if to say, "I want to bite this ***** soo bad!". I miss Minnie! :(


Someone has to take the dogs when parting. They are members of the family too, I've had to say goodbye to a cat before. :( I still miss him.

Got all my grades back. A-, B+, B, C+, and then an A that only counts as credit since it wasn't taken at State.

The A- is currently a C because the prof forgot to count my final exam twice since I missed the third exam. I sent him an e-mail and he's gonna change it. I meant to write something on the exam to remind him, but I forgot. He's a little upset, but oh well, he's not in my college. You'd think it would be obvious when you look at the grades and it's 103, 85, 90, 0, 90. One of these things is not like the other.

Oooo went out to eat breakfast, get a couple of little extra gifts for people (even though I'm really done shopping and wrapping) and got something small for myself! I bought 8 feet of utility cord for two bucks so I can make some lanyards.

i remember laying there on the ground thinking "damn that hurt like hell". lay there for a bit, got up, back on the bike, rode the 0.5mi home. it was a beotch getting my sweater off, just left the undershirt & short sleeve shirt on. decided earlier this afternoon to go on to urgent care instead of waiting till tomorrow. i have no idea how i'm going to get these clothes off and get a shower...:(

Just made a trip to the mall and back and managed to get in and out pretty quickly in one piece...

Picked up a few things for The Girl and snagged an SD card and reader for my cel phone so I could move pictures to the netbook... was amazed that the crappy cel phone pics were not really all that crappy.

I'm cleaning the house and packing... and am checking my list twice to see who's been naughty and nice... and oddly enough... one person's name is on both lists.

im working on getting the pics converted; if that doesnt work, will get copies from ortho and post tomorrow.

im about to get as comfortable as possible on the couch and try to get some sleep. the 2 Vitamin V's are doing their job. :D

65'r - it does...could've at least been same side for both breaks. doesnt interfere w/the xmas plans other than i wont be getting any ridig done. for a while:(

sb - for most this is the off-season, but for me january was to be the start of mt training season, with AoMM my "A" ride (may24). guess it will be a short and intense training time (2.5-3mo) and hope that it will be enough.

WP - My shoulders don't match due to a broken collarbone I suffered when I was 6... I still remember how painful that was.

Am just taking a little tea break as I can't pack anymore until the laundry in the dryer is ready so will subject y'all to another crappy cel phone pic... she is usually as dumb as a stump but has some uncanny intuition as to what all this commotion is about.
