Foo - Whatcha Doin'? part 4.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Had an awesome day... did not find any wool knickers but found some great material with which to make my daughters some hats and some reflective ribbon for a new jacket I bought for about $200.00 less than what it would have cost me north of the border.
Best part of course... was the company I was in.
:)
Tomorrow I am gonna cruise around on the Twenty while The Girl works and later on will be hanging out with friends I just haven't met yet...
I still think that frilly lace knickers would suit you better.:P Give my regards to that lucky lady.
I cleaned the Pro-flex and did some messages by bike today, including pricing a new log-burner for my house.
Had a nice hard ride today. I was going to do some hill training but the bike I was going to use had a flat tyre. Had to take my other road bike and it's too high geared for the hill I wanted to climb. So I forced myself to push as hard into the wind and as fast up the minor hillocks as a I could sustain. It was also nice to spin a moderate gear with the tail wind home.
I did 40km at a reasonable average for me of 28.5km.
Now my arms, shoulders and legs are nice and tired. I'm thinking that I will finish the evening off with a spa bath.:)

Flu. Started Thursday, Friday wasn't too bad, but I had to work the weekend. Had a fever last night.
And we have to go out to get coffee. Ran out of milk as well.
Spent four hours on Skype. Time zones kinda worked out. Xmas eve midnight I was chatting to my sister in Japan early Xmas morning. Early Xmas for me I was chatting to my mum at lunch time Xmas day in south Africa, then a bit later to my other two sisters, father and niece after their Xmas lunch, which left the rest of the day for our Xmas lunch.

Short week?
Would you believe that I had an official work event on New Year's Day?
At least it will be fun. Involves buckets, wellington boots, rowing boats and a big mix up of Black Velvet to drink.

I'll see what she thinks about the frilly knickers... :)
Just dropped the lovely lady off at her office as she has to work for a few hours today and am kicking back a block away with a lovely cup of chai and am watching the city come alive here.
The commute was really nice as it's a downright balmy morning (by my standards) and I really like seeing so many cyclists on the road... one nitpick is that very few of them seem to know what a bell is for and there is rarely an "on your left" to be heard.
If I was not following The Girl and had been in the process of passing her I may have come close to taking out a few riders.
I will tell The Girl you send those regards... thinking that I am really the lucky one here. :)

Never EVER eat a huge giant salad and then on a whim decide to go ride through traffic Kamakaze style. Now I feel sick. Blech.

Trying to get motivated. Putting a picture of a 29er that I want to build up for motivation. Must work, cursed truth, must work and then work some more. Work makes riding possible. workworkworkworkRIDEworkworkwork!

Ungh. I ache in several places. As soon as I get the $ for my wedding band, I'm buying a standing tire pump for my bikes. I also fried myself lugging around our 20 year old carpet shampooer. Crikey! Ibuprofen, ho!

You are still hurting from a hand pump? How much does the shampooer weigh?

Been home since last Friday (well I spent the weekend at Mom's), but haven't done a darn thing - and I have to say it feels kind of nice - however I'm bored so tomorrow we should have some fresh snow and I think the platforms will go on the off roader for a romp in the snow, then come home and install some "gaterboard" (i.e. plastic e-flute corrugated) under my bed to shore it up - my cats have killed my new bed and so I think this may be an answer, then it's down to the hardware store for a small can of paint to paint over my changes in the apartment (oh and some sandpaper) as I moved my TP roll contraption so it's up rather high - she loved the way it was - knee high - and so I lost many rolls of TP. Grrrrrr. So time to fix some things.
and it will only be Tuesday - and I'm bored. :) Have off this week and nothing to do.

The carpet shampooer is heavy...it's old, one tank on the handle. Ugh.

Been here since 6:50......only 7 more office hours this year. I usually eat breakfast here at the office, as I'm not supposed to eat for an hour after taking some of the meds I take each morning.
I just got here a few minutes ago - 5:59. Coffee and a bagel.

6:00 eh? what are you? A glutton for punishment?
My start time is between 6-6:30, but I would rather leave early and enjoy my day. Less so when it's not motorcycle weather. It would be -6 with wind chill this morning, so no riding.

Sucks to be them.
heh, cleaning the fridge is easier in winter, just toss the stuff you want to keep out the door. (and hope the critters are already hibernating.)
unplug freezer, defrost, done.

I am not sure that spinning is the thing for me but it was a good workout. Since my son's swim lessons start next week at the same time it is irrelevant.
I suppose I could find another class.

Are you crazy? I burnt the outside of my lip with a bit of nuclear cheese. I certainly wouldn't want to risk that on me tender bits.
