Foo - Whatcha Doin'? part 4.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You silly Rock Mountain Coors Monkeys will never learn. Texicans are born without a heart, and those of us with hearts keep them in very unconventional bodily locations.
Well, I was going to suggest shooting you in the brain but it turns out scientists are still hunting for the fabled Texican brain...

On Saturday at 6 AM we leave for Estes Park Colorado. In other news, Wordbiker has just about finished constructing the concertina wire home enclosure and is stocking up on double ought buckshot in preperation for my visit.
Did I show you what my Pop gave me?

In other news I fabricated my own Avid bleed kit today. Did the job like a charm and didn't cost anything. :)

You guessed right.
It also has an interchangeable cylinder for .22 Mag, which packs quite a punch. It's not what I wanted, but it's cheap to shoot and will get me into practice for the .357 Vaquero he's going to buy me. :)

I just hit up a forum member for some digits. Can you say "booty call?"
Also, for us southerners, it makes it feel very comfortable in here. just need some monster trucks, Marlboros and beer and it is like old home week.

Whilst there were gun shots heard, I didn't do any shooting.
Was in a sailing race tonight (start is a small gun firing blank shotgun shells) as crew in a Flying Fifteen. Lots of fun even if we did finish a big fat mid-field nowhere.
^Awesome JHK!!!!!. Love hearing the gun at the start, and more esp. getting one at the finish. Have raced JY15s and sailed on Flying Scots. I tend to perform better on keel boats than board boats, as I am more of the bull in the china shop sort of person. Love doing end to end jibes on teh foredeck of something in the 25-30 foot range.

well, my wranglers running 33's. Is that close enough to monster truck?
And my choice was marlboro reds in a box for many many years.
I think your pretty close to hitting that nail head here.

33 x 12.50s x 15s. They are easier to find then the 1050s.

Reds in a box for me too! And Big Red Gum and R/C Cola. We called it the 3 r's! I think we are related.

The gun at the finish went to some guys in a Laser SB3 - miles ahead of anyone, even the Etchells. Flaky winds suited the asymmetric kite today.
It was my first time in a F15, so lots of stuff to learn. I was running the foredeck, so trimming the sheets, getting the spinnaker pole up and so on. I'm pretty much a novice sailor, but had fun.
conserving knees and calories for tomorrow's charity ride.

I just put on a compact crankset that a friend gave to me. It was the right price so it's tough to complain but it's not nearly as pretty as my polished crankset.

Is that a euphimism of some sort?
I like a little dark grey anodizing on my cranksets.
makes it look like polished titanium

odd....I had you picked as a one piece steel crankset kind of guy.

that would make me lopsided. I would need something much lighter than steel.

I left the help to roll in all the bikes. Now I'm relaxing with a cold one after stocking up on ammo.

What distance?
I absolutely suck at swimming :D
I could do a duathlon.

In my world swimming & biking are tied for the best parts. I'd do anything to get out of the run.

but I can totally ask for swimming lessons from girls this way :innocent:
okay, so I can swim with crawl form for 20m, but I can't float.
and I could go on for practically forever with back crawl.

I have no problem with the cycling or running part. It's the swimming that has me freaked out.
I have heard that wetsuits contribute greatly to buoyancy.

I wouldn't say greatly. But there is a noticeable increase. I wore a wetsuit when sea kayaking. They provide some peace of mind when practicing self rescues.
Just dump a bucket of chum into your wake to slow the competition and you'll do fine.
Man, I *love* my new neighbourhood. After years living in big apartment buildings, it's so nice to spend an afternoon sitting on my front step, reading a book and talking to my neighbours - including a five-year-old girl who told me that the plastic flower she was using to hit me on the head with would help my hair to grow back :D.
did the becel ride for heart.
pouring rain at the start, stopped, but still chilly by the half way point.
If you can't stay dry, you can at least stay warm.
I didn't bother picking up the participation prize.
