Foo - Whatcha Doin'? part 4.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Recovering from a severely sprained L ankle -- slid out on ice commuting to work 3 days ago, caught my fall, but heard and felt a painful SNAP in my ankle. No bones broken, I knew that before the 4-hour stay @ the VA confirmed it, but I'm gonna see today if I can walk some distance and possible ride at a slow pace. Gotten REAL good at getting off my low-slung bed one-legged....

Won enough money playing poker tonight to pay for all my Christmas shopping. Now I have to find the time to shop.
I would like a new bike computer. You can order it online from the comfort of your home. :D

BF appears to be dying a slow death. Judging by recent occurrences I am not sure that is a bad thing.
Anyhow, I had my first crash this winter today. Idiot peds not paying attention. I zigged into a patch of ice and went down on my right. Not too much hurt to me but I trashed a pair of expensive winter tights. Guess I know what Santa is getting me tomorrow. At least the bike was fine.

Yes.
I love tip up with thumbstuds and AO knives. Not so much with my Spydercos and other folders that have holes.
Had a nice family picnic today. Then I went and collected my "new" MTB; a Proflex 756 with XTR. Did the final inspection on my new house. By this time tomorrow I'll own 2 houses.

Just got home after a night out with friends... this is probably the best part of the holiday season for me.
Ride was nice... temp has started to drop and it's a balmy -30C right now... it is supposed to drop to -38C tonight.
stupid forum eating up my post...
summery: went to costco, bought winter base layers and mitt+gloves
must return mitt+gloves to costco because some dip**** took out the gloves and all I'm left with are mitts.

Enjoying the central heating and a cup of coffee... :)
I now offically own two houses. I'm knackered now though. I spent about 4 hours cleaning all the carpets in the new house after work. Now to finish packing and shift.
I just stomped a black widow flat that was crawling across my living room floor.

Evening foosters...
Just earned my level 2 geek badge after figuring out how to flash the bios on my netbook and get it running... the black screen of death made using it really hard.
And then I started overhauling the old pc... backed up all my images to this little machine and damn... there's a lot of porn.
Bike porn that is.

well, thanks to the magic of penicillin derivatives, I'm breathing a hell of a lot better then I was yesterday.
And according to the endo this morning, I'll most likely be shooting up insulin in about a month

Nah, he has family obligations *AND* he works. If he didn't have family obligations, and me a demanding 60 lb dog, I'd probably be on a bus headed down there right now. C'est la vie.

Found out yesterday I'm on "voluntary employment" until January. As of 12/11 my old company shut its doors, and the new one won't start until 1/3. Problem is, the new company won't have any clients (or BE) a company unless I'm getting things set up and continuing to nurture client relationships.
Could be worse. Applied for unemployment today, so things should be good until January.
Already told the boss I'm going to be "sick" (skiing) monday, and off xmas eve/day as well as NYE/day. I'm also only working from 10-4. These couple weeks should fly by!

Negative. One tomorrow afternoon and another Thursday afternoon. Then I'm done. Tomorrow morning is studying, then exam, then more studying. I should study tonight, but I just don't care enough. I work better under pressure.

Good luck with that, and enjoy your holiday's arti. You have to ask for Xmas day and New Years off? :wtf: Here, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and the 2nd of January are all statutory holidays.
My work closes on the 23/12/09 and reopens on the 12/1/2010. I'm going to enjoy the two and a bit week break.:D

Dude, that sucks. Caffeine is your friend.
I'm a bit freaked by the fact I was the first one done in my exams yesterday. I'm extremely decisive.

finally back home after the Adventures of Flying on Saturday & today. Saturday, instead of spending my day with the bf, I spent it in DC at the airport. And, today, had 2 delays, which meant that I was late getting back and not able to go to work in the afternoon. Darn. :)
