I lost my LG Dare yesterday. Oh well. Went to the Verizon Store got an LG Env3. I think so far I like it better.

The LG Dare has been discontinued. Sort of liked it but the touch screen sucked, and the stupid phone constantly became unlocked in your pocket and texted and called people by accident. That sucked.
+1 on the Dare problems (I almost hope I lose mine).
Just wondering if you checked out the Motorola 'Droid phone? I looked at it briefly, but didn't like the keyboard. Rumor has it LG will have a 'droid available shortly and I'm hoping its keyboard is more like your Env3.

I have a Samsung Magnet and I hate the thing. But I don't want to pay the upgrade fee for a new phone... I suppose I could pay full price at the AT&T store...
I liked my LG Vu until my wife replaced her crackberry with an Iphone.

Played with the Droid. Unimpressed. The iPhone is slicker. But I don't want to pay $30 monthly for a data plan. My phone web surfing is limited to checking for a ball game score 4x a year. I don't travel much, don't need the portable computer features. I need a phone that's compact and works great as a PHONE, and makes it easy to text. This phone does all those things nicely. Another GREAT feature is if you're talking on it and you want a speaker phone, you just flip it open and it goes into speaker mode. How cool is that? Easier than hunting for some tiny button on the side of the phone. Improved voice dialing, alarms too. I like it.

How I wish I could get a phone that worked just like the old Motorola brick. No camera, no text, no internet, no nothin'! But the phone part WORKED! Don't miss the weight, though.

Trying to surf the web on any screen much smaller than a Netbook is useless anyway, and not that fast.

I like my Samsung Gleam. Light, thin, basic phone (decent camera too, just in case you need one). Easy to carry in my pocket.

lol
I like my Crackberry with full keyboard. I hate the interface/software keyboard of the iPhone. Such a PITA to use. My mom has an iPhone, half her texts are unintelligible lol.

I have an Env2 and love it all to pieces. The Env phones seem to have quite the fan club.

I'm interested in that long rumored Apple tablet, which sounds like an iPhone with a 10" screen. That would float my boat for a number of reasons. I'd rather have one of those and a separate cell phone like the one I just purchased.

Nice computer. Can it make phone calls?
Does it come with the sink, or is that in the app store?
It's just a phone. A dumb phone.

That looks like something I would get (next). I'm on my 2nd touchscreen since the day before Turkey Day. First was the Motorola Crush, now the Samsung Caliber. Virtual keypads suck.
Pcad, does the Env3 require a data plan?

My family has been texting a lot more lately.
I originally upgraded the plan to unlimited texting for "Mr HappyFingers" (my 15year old son). Once my youngest daughter, who despises technology, went off to school she found that texting was a good way to keep in touch with her friends from High School. Additionally, my older daughters always seem to have limited available minutes on thier plans, now prefer to "text" us.
So, I ordered two phones with "qwerty" keypads for my wife and I.

I'm getting a new phone because it takes far too long to compose a text message with my basic flip phone and I'm not about to start misspelling words to save time.
My pup dog ate my Blackberry.
I just bought an iPhone.
First impression, Apple makes the nicest boxes ever.

PCad, what OS does that run?
I have an iPhone. Now, I will only ever have either an iPhone, an Android-based phone (if it's a lot cheaper than an iPhone), or a very basic phone + iPod. Nothing, NOTHING, else will do for me now. Apple make the best products, and that's all I have to say about that.

Verizon's dumb phone OS. I don't want a smart phone. F that action. I want a dumb phone and possibly an i-Pad, which should be out by mid 2010.

I have the older one and only 4 of the front screen buttons work. However, it was handed to me by a friend.
