Foo - Now I'm REALLY out of shape :(

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Went for a ride today. It's been many months since I've done anything more than a short trip around the block. But the last serious ride was 82Mi so I was hopping for at least an hour of riding fun... God I was wrong. I had to stop for air at 0.7Mi and never went faster than 10mph.
Training starts tomorrow morning, no excuses.

You really are out of shape..
Do you have asthma or something else?
I had problems last year. Went to the Dr.
Only breathing 65%.
She put me on 5 meds and I was ok two weeks later.

yeah, I went to the doc and ended up n the hospital a few months ago 'cause I was having breathing problems, (still am) they told me that I had a heart problem and could drop dead if my heart rate gets to high! I still ride my bikes the same way, I figure theres only two ways I can get my heart rate that high, cycling and making love, and either way would be a very fine way to die! :thumb:

I think that would be extremely awkward for your partner though.

Don't feel too bad. Between my Mom, The Dark Season, and other crap, I've really slacked off riding the past two months. I did a 30 mile ride in rollers in the Sierra foothills on the 21st and nearly died. It *hurt*. Although I only need to ride for about three weeks to get my conditioning back... this time of year is running season for me or the drainer, even though I live in California, I don't like riding in the dark, even on my 5 mile commute. So easy to get doored or slip on wet roads (this is when it rains).
