Are you sure that wasn't Penthouse? Or Hustler?
It did come wrapped in plastic! It was mailed with Bicycling, and is published by the same publisher. http://www.bicycling.com/mb/home/0,8132,s1-6-0-0-0,00.html looks like it, but it doesn't show the cover. But the cover has "Hey Luddite" in big letters towards the bottom, and referenced an article about rigid forks and bikes without suspensions. I'd be glad to mail you my copy if you can't find one on your own.

It's doubly amusing, considering I don't MTB and my username is the name of my decidedly hybrid bicycle lol.
for one nightmarish moment I thought the cretin Wrench I went out with twice wrote to the magazine about me or something. haha.

Double grr, as if I would debase myself by being one of those magazines, I'd choose something far more classy. :)...plus, I would spend the entire shoot wanting to see the cameras/lenses etc ad nauseam. I'd make a lousy model.
