Fifty Plus (50+) - Going directly to the latest post...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Maybe it's been asked and answered already, but I've been away for a while. Isn't there a way to click to the latest post, rather than having to scroll down through everything?

Just click on the time below the last poster's name. Basically in the same location as where the old button was.

I've done that, but it takes me to the first post. Mac, Safari, etc.

It is possible to change your forum settings to display the last post first which will result in the first post being last. If you wish to read the whole thread with this setting however, it will be necessare to go to the last entry to find the first post and from there read back toward the begining to get to the end.................aren't you glad you asked.

It seems that every time they do a forum update, the place you were in a thread gets lost. I've been sent back to post #1 numerous times. Mac/Firefox

Must be a Mac thing. I have not had any problem with this on any of the PCs I have used with IE or Firefox.

You're right, it works on Firefox. I guess I'll have to launch that browser when I want to visit 50+.

I suppose you must have missed the launch of the New Bikeforums browser. Only a couple of things to point out now- We can organise the weather in various parts of the country- Snow in alaska- sun in Colorado or rain in California. How's it working?

The other is that white bikes go rusty so check yours out quick.

try hitting the little blue button on the right of the thread title and that will take you to the last unread post.
Works for me in Firefox and IE

It worked for me on Safari. Once. When I came back to the forum a few hours later, there were NO little blue buttons on the right of the threat title to be found. Sigh.

DG of course it's a feature. that way they can distinguish mac users from the other types. sorry I too am on the mac side and get this too. must be a quirk in safari not having that feature. ;-)
