What is the most that you have eaten in one sitting?

I don't care if you measure by calories, or by food items, what's the most you have eaten in one sitting?

6 tacos
6 large cocktail shrimps
12 oz. steak
potatoes (mashed)
vegetables (steamed)
2 milkshakes
tall glass of coke
large sundae
apple pie

2 large pizza while watching a Rambo Movie. Or could be 2 full dinner plates at Denny's. If Gina makes tacos, I'll eat 12 at one siting, I mean stuffed tacos, but dam they are goooood!:D

Back when I was completely sedentary, AKA my chess playing days, I might continuously feed on packages of pizza found in the dairy aisle in the local supermarkets. I'd eat it straight from the box, unheated, adding cheese to it. Washed down with diet soda, of course, since I wanted to fool myself that I was watching my weight.

I don't think anyone "wonders" at all about it. There's very little denial here on the C/A Forum. People may have varying degrees of success in losing weight, if that's what they want to do, but I don't see a lot of posts on the order of "I'm fat and I don't know why."

Most of the comments in this thread are descriptions of "before" eating, anyway.

And one more point: a person can lose weight and still eat a LOT of stuff. Either they exercise a lot, like I do on a bike tour, or it's a one-time splurge.

Not really, I'm pretty sure most of us know EXACTLY how we got this big. I've never kept track of what my largest meal was, but I know I kinda went out of control once when I found out I weighed 100lbs more then what I thought I did. Top known weight 606lbs, after hearing that I gave up for a while and ate whatever. I still currently struggle, during Thanksgiving I gave myself that day, and honestly I scared myself I ate more than I needed and still wanted more. With as much weight as I have lost If I don't stay on top of it every day I Know I would gain it all back. So I continue with my journey, one day at a time. I weigh every week I watch what I eat every day because I am not who my body wants me to be.

I'm also 6'6" and used to do a lot of weightlifting. There's no "wonder" as to why I weigh over 200 pounds. I'd look like a pale Manute Bol if I went down under about 205.

My 30 sliders plus fries record was after a sub-12 solo double, if that makes any difference.

Nope, don't really care or wonder why I'm over 200 lbs!:D...Average cyclist on the right, and my big orange butt on the left. Just got done doing a 62 miler in Casa Grande AZ @ 19.9 average, 70% of the ride was solo. Do I realy need to worry about it?

It's the fries which would do me in. Back in high school and early college when I was doing tris and ultras I could tear through fries with the best of them. Now, if I even get fries, it's a small basket of them and only if the restaurant has malt vinegar. I'll still wreck a stack of burgers after a 300k, though. :D

I used to backpack. You can only carry about half the calories you burn. One time I went to an all you can eat buffet
in the 80's a couple days after I got back from a backpacking trip. I ate 3 platefuls of food, basically 3 dinners.
The desert dishes were tiny. So I took 4 of their dinky pieces of cake and put them on a dinner plate, buried them under choc soft serve, and added nuts and jimmies.

A good friend saw me coming back and stood up and started clapping. Wound up getting a standing ovation from
the whole restaurant.

And if you think that's impressive, read some backpacker stories, I've seen guys smaller than me put me to shame.

Actually, try backpacking sometime. Some of the best fun you can have standing up.

When I was a teenager, our family would travel to a restaurant about 45 miles away every couple of months for dinner. I usually ordered the 32 oz. porterhouse steak dinner. It was one big hunk of meat and came with all the trimmings. I loved that place!

Best I can do now is
a)4 taco bell burritos OR
b)7/11 nachos(large) with all toppings I can find + 1 microwave burrito + 1 donut OR
c)3 pound pasta tray with a small salad

With a 52oz diet coke as I watching my figure.

Of course, I'm down from 276 to 217 with an immediate goal of 200, or course. As I lose weight, I can eat less and be satiated. I can't even eat a triple Whopper/cheese value meal anymore. Just 2 double cheeseburgers and value fries - $3.

I feel a little better now :) If I make shells and cheese, stuffing, lg pizza, hamburgers (1lb), etc I tend to eat the whole package. Work stress, overtime, and swing shifts cause me to binge eat as well. Like I need to to have some reserves just in case. I'm with Beanz on homemade tacos - one of my favorites. My typical overindulgence now involves a combo meal followed by 2 chili dogs.

Lol. I've had a friend literally kicked out of Golden Corral for eating too much. And this guy weighs less than 170.
I don't even remember the most I've eaten at one sitting. I'm usually not paying much attention if I'm binging. That or I'm playing video games or watching a movie (still not paying attention).
A big bag of doritos, a large pizza, and a 2 liter are very feasible though.

I wish my handle wasn't my actual name =-D.

I can't remember if there was more involved, but I have a memory of eating enough pizza to purge involuntarily. Even today, if I order a pizza, that pizza /will/ be finished within the day. I moved down to small pizzas and only order them when I can't muster the memory of regretting eating a whole pizza, which is blessedly rare. =-D.

Pizza.

I used to weigh 576 pounds. What I ate in one place one time wasn't the sickening part, what I ate every day was what was more sickening. On Sundays, for example, I'd be "recovering" from a hangover and would have:
-Two 12 inch hot subs
-32oz Mountain Dew
-Family Sized baked ziti

Some Saturdays too, if it was a good weekend. On a normal night I'd have a pizza for myself, sometimes even two. Washed down with lots of booze of Coca-Cola.

Yikes, it's a small miracle I'm still alive...

I'd guess the most calories I ever had in one sitting was not the result of food but rather the result of large quantities of alcohol. Oh college.

Start at 6pm on Friday.

Drink a case of beer, do shots, play another tournament of beer pong, jungle juice (*shudders) then hit the drive through (with a designated driver of course) and mow through 6 double cheeseburgers.

Wake up on Sunday.

For the last 6 months of college and the three subsequent years thereafter my liver thought I was a complete a_shole. And no, I don't wonder at all why I got fat.

On another occasion 44 pieces of sushi and one lemonade.

Why does that just make me think of Jake Blues at the soul food restaurant: "I'll have four fried chickens. And a coke."

Same boat! In college my roomate and I would "start out" with a 30 pack of High Life, or if we were "rich" that week, Coors Light. That would be around 5pm. By about 11pm that would be gone, and we'd stumble down to the corner market to pick up some good stuff - a 6 pack of Rolling Rock each. Around 1am we'd be really charged, and the Vodka came out.

Our apartment was pretty quiet the next day, lemme tell you :)

But as recently as 5 years ago, my roomates and I would put back 4 cases of beer and a fifth of jack in a friday or saturday when we had people over - and there were maybe 5 or 6 of us. We'd go to a.. club of ill repute that you had to BYOB to with a case of Coors Light each. Yup, no problem I'd finish that over the course of an evening.

Of course nowadays I drink so rarely that a six pack might just put me under the table... :)

And yes, I've recently discovered that I have become a cheap date. My head was spinning after beer 3.
