What were some of your most favorite cycling pictures from 2009. Your own, others, professional, whatever.
I'll post one of my own, hope this works.http://<a href="http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u101/oldbmxr/?action=view&current=DSC05598.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u101/oldbmxr/DSC05598.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

No matter how many times it is on BF (4x now), still looks drop dead gorgeous every time I look at it, especially when I go out for a ride /sigh...

Christmas definitely came early for me this year :)

Two of my favorites from the year.

The first day I felt like I was getting decent action shots with my camera and my first successful day of photographing cycling.

I love the expressions. Lance looks tired, Levi looks pissed, and Ben looks calm (but he said he wasn't, he hides it well).

probably my favorite pro moment this year - Heinrich Haussler's ride on stage 13 of the TdF was not only epic (solo win - in the mountains - in the rain - with a 5+ minute lead at the end), but probably the most exciting thing I saw during the tour. No dweeby arrogant Spaniard or old guy from Texas can take that away :

I think that was probably my favorite moment of the entire tour despite feeling terribly disappointed about Levi not starting that morning. Had Haussler not showed so much emotion, I probably wouldn't have been so excited for him.

I was fortunate enough to be one of the Traveling Course Marshalls for the Tour of California. It was one of the most coveted positions ... but then why am I relegated to standing out in the rain like this?

I built a new bike this year. It's the first bike I've ordered ala carte, then assembled on my own. I'm super happy with the bike, and rode it the whole summer:

One of the first rides I had on it, out at Salmon Falls trail:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/pictures/mejabber1.jpg

I don't know what it is about the Jabber, but I'm trying stuff on it that I've never done on my full suspension bike:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/pictures/gbrock1.jpg

In May, I did the Annadel State Park ride with the guys from MTBR in their annual "May By The Bay" rides. Someone got this of me:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/May%20By%20The%20Bay%202009/me-annadel.JPG

In June, I rode the South Yuba River trail with a fast group of guys. I ended up riding with these guys a few more times during summer:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/South%20Yuba%20June%2027%202009/South%20Yuba%20Fatrac%20ride%20June%2027%2009%20001.jpg

http://www.cleanspokes.com/South%20Yuba%20June%2027%202009/DSC05447.jpg

This one is easily my favorite. Riding the Hole In The Ground trail, my favorite trail:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/DLRT%20and%20HITG%202009/DSC00746a.JPG

Probably one of the most fun trips we took this summer. This one is cycling related - you can see my Jabberwocky on the roof of the orange monster :D I rode the first five miles of the Rubicon, to Buck Island where we camped, and rode passenger in the FJ on the way home:

http://www.cleanspokes.com/Rubicon%202009/DSC00644.JPG

2009 is up there with the best years of my life. I did ton of riding and improved my skills and fitness like crazy, took three trips I never thought I'd take and tried a bunch of new things. Here's to 2010 - I already know it's going to be a wild ride.

These two are my favorites, from what I can get here at work. The first is my girlfriend and I at the top of Carson Pass (note, I made it before the rain!) The second is the Cal/Nevada border. Dunno if the picture is good, but I still remember the feeling of riding back to Minden after finishing the Deathride. So calm, peaceful and fast after the crowds at the ride. I was racing the rain back and beat it by 5-10 minutes.

The doubles may have been harder, but cruising home after the DR and feeling good was when I allowed myself to be proud of what I'd accomplished in the first year of riding.

Well this was the year Midland (the OP of this thread) bought a road bike to compliment literally a lifetime of BMX riding.
He has been a faithful friend for 25 years and I really wanted him as a ride buddy.

I knew he had mad bike handling prowess and power from hundreds of thousands of hours of all aspects of BMX - racing, dirt jumping and trick riding in skate parks. I had nudged him for a year to try his skills on a a road bike.
For God's sake he is 5'6" and weighs 138, a born roadie if ever there was one.

In February he took the plunge with a Craigslist Klein and in the last 10 months of 2009 he logged 3000 miles, 2 Centuries, umpteen metrics, and several successful assaults on Mt Diablo.

So Midland, how ya likin' that road bike?
