Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am trying to buy my first bike and I have a couple of choices. I need a bike that is comfortable and one that I can ride through a bike path. Can anyone help me decide which is a better choice: Raleigh SC7, Trek '04 Women's Navigator 100, or the Trek 7100. I'd also appreciate if someone can tell me why they made their choice.
Thanks so much
Hi! I am also new here but did just buy a Trek 7300. I just liked the feel of the Trek bikes better than the Raleighs when I test rode them. I went with the 7000 series because the Navigator seemed a little too slow because of the thick tires and heavier frame, plus the 7000 series seems to be a good bike for streets and clean bike paths. As far as comfort, mine feels pretty good for a bike. I just need to get in better shape! Many people here seem to like the 7100. I rode one and liked it very much, but the great price on a new but older year model 7300 took me in that direction.

I've had my TREK 7200 for a month and love it. Prior to getting the TREK I was riding a tank called a HUFFY. Why did I get the TREK 7200? It was comfortable and fun to ride! It was also in my price range that I could afford.
