khs lists the crankset as Truvativ FireX 33t

as far as i know, they only come in 170 and 175mm length... which leads me to this question...

how important is it to run 180mm cranks on a SS? it'll be more proper...but will the differences be palpable? i might need the extra torque... it comes with gearing taller than standard (33-16)

...additionally, NONE of the shops in austin or dallas metroplex stock the Solo-One so i dont think i can get online retailers to swap me cranks or cogs free...im already on a crap-shoot buying this bike w/o a test ride...

crank length doesn't matter if you're coasting.

i think you'll do fine with 175's. talk to the guys at ozone bikeshop, i haven't been there in awhile but they used to be really knowledgable.

175 vs 185 Go with the Solo-one and replace the stock crank with a 185 when you wear it out.. I don't think you will really be able to tell the difference,I've got 3 bikes with 3 different length cranks!!!Not a problem.By-the-way I ride my SS in West Virginia with a 175 and have used the same crank for 4 years-----JJ
