Foo - Tiger's count continues skyward. In golf, this would be a bad thing.

At least its better than reading politics or the economic news...
And here's the perfect song for The Death of Tiger's Career...
Do you worry that you're not liked
How long till you break
You're happy cause you smile
But how much can you fake
An ordinary boy an ordinary name
But ordinary's just not good enough today
Alone I'm thinking
Why is superman dead
Is it in my head
We'll just laugh instead
You worry about the weather and
Whether or not you should hate
Are you worried about your faith
Kneel down and obey
You're happy you're in love
You need someone to hate
An ordinary girl an ordinary waist
But ordinary's not good enough today
Doesnt anybody ever know that the worlds a subway

This has probably been rolled over a ton in other threads.
But, I kind of feel bad for him. If he's an addict then he has a problem. Unfortunately this kind of addicting is hard to forgive by your spouse.
I live with an addict. (not sex. and I guess that could be a good or bad thing for me). But one will go to great lengths to feed their addictions. And bad things happen.

IF it truly is an addiction, then he needs to get help. If he's just a schmuck, I have little sympathy for him. For his wife, I have tons of sympathy, either way.

Indeed. If he's out to see how many chicks he can score with, he's a prick - plain and simple. And he won't be able to reach Wilt Chamberlain's record. So he needs to give up.

Honestly, since there are kids involved, I'd rather see them work it out in private, and go on to be a happy couple. I don't expect that to happen.

OMG they procreated? I was not aware of that.
Well, I hope she's able to take buckets of his $ without long, vicious court battles, for the kid's sakes. I have no tolerance for cheatin' cheatersons of either sex. If the relationship is ****ed, end the goddamned relationship and then go play the field or whatever.

Because, you can't pay attention to the clowns in DC if you are paying full attention to this sort of crapola! And that's the way DC wants it :innocent:

His career will only suffer if it affects his game. Once the media moves on to another breaking story, people will cease to care.
Hopefully he doesn't get the ugly Kobe tattoo.
Luddite, they had a prenuptial agreeement. She will get what she signed up for in her marriage contract and go on down the gold brick road. I have heard between 30% and 50%. He will have to learn to live on $500 million and whatever he can scrape together playing golf.

He obviously brought this on himself but who knows, competing on the golf course may be his only escape from here on out.
There was a cartoon poking fun at Tiger today. A US law official, announcing that it would be easier and cause less paperwork all those women who hadn't slept with Tiger would come forward.
I did notice that in the OP's link, that most of the accusations aren't confirmed. I wonder how many more will turn up and how many are people trying to catch a ride on a gravy train or get some media attention.
I do feel sorry for his soon to be ex-wife and children though.
You will note that MV has NOT denied sleeping with Tiger............

Did you see the "model" that went on The Today Show this morning? Not really that cute and overtly made up. From what I've seen so far things would suggest he's more of a sex addict, or simply a healthy male with money that doesn't understand that when you get married, unless you and your spouse agree to an open sexual relationship, that sampling the smorgasboard is kind of a no-no.
Just wait... he'll go to sex therapy/rehab. $20 says that one story that says he's going to quit golf at her request to save the marriage ... she'll eventually end up filing a divorce petition. And it really makes SENSE for her to do so. Even if some of the unconfirmed trysts turn out to be bogus, there's probably others that simply don't want to come forward that spent a night with him. And I agree with the poster that said "who cares?" I really don't, except I find it amusing how corp ad culture will sell a "wholesome" image of these stars and then when their life doesn't match the image they run away.

His European endorsements have already hit the back door and the America COs have pulled his ads. The poor Schmucker may have to live off the $10mil annually he makes golfing for a while.
His Tiger Jam in Vegas has raised $15mil since 1996. Today they announced that he has never dropped a dime for a charitable cause in Vegas. All the money goes elsewhere, and he does have good charities.
The Vegas newspapers also ripped Tiger for tipping $10. to limo drivers that he uses for half a day. Mike Ditka is the gold standard for tippers, $50. to everyone who parks his car, opens a door or hands him a drink. Same is true about Matt Damon.

Well, if his score is so high, he should just call it an X and leave it at that.
I think this all started when Tiger's business manager saw 'Ball Washer' on the X-Mas list.:innocent:

Supposedly, he's taking a hiatus from golf to save his marriage. Although some of this is likely crap... on the other hand, our culture loves to tear its stars down once they start to fizzle. Somehow, I don't think he's going to be able to STOP playing golf as he's going to have a boatload of legal bills associated with his divorce.
That model he married shouldn't be stupid (at least in the short-term) like the wife of the current SC governor. Dump his butt, get it over with, because its going to happen anyway.
I refuse to believe the wife didn't knew about it.

I would only care about this crap if he were paying my bills and putting food on my table but since he isn't, I don't care what is going on there. No one really knows nor is it anyones business but the story was old before it began. Enough of the coverage and talk already. Let's get back to things that matter.
An immoral dumbarse that can swing a club. The media built him up and the media will take him down. Meh, who cares.

Too many Stars lose their moral footing when money, power and privilege suck them in. AND ALL of us are really half way jealous and the other half truly indignant. Now that the smoke is clearing and we get a better picture of whats really going on, I hope he can save his family. This is like 8 strokes down and 5 holes to play-NOW DON'T GET NASTY WITH THAT!
I also hope all of us get a chance at fame and fortune and that we stay true to our values.

+1 in a year or two people with barely remember that all of this happened, or won't care about it any more. I'm not defending him but this is the way these things usually happen. I bet he'll even get his endorsements back over time if he continues to win tournaments.

Yep. Its like politics... 2-3 weeks are an eternity, but in a year, no one really remembers what happened.

Most of his current endorsements are pulling the plug - Gillete, Gatorade, Accenture, and AT&T. The only one that will stick by him is Nike, who thinks society is to blame when an athlete screws up.
His big problem when he returns to golf is getting his focus back to win, and that will be tough. He lost his sponsors, maybe his family, and handled the entire thing incorrectly. I think that will affect his game and he will be a shadow of his former self.
Most of this thread has been water-cooler conversation, a couple of people have posted my feelings on it (meh), and one person actually alluded to collective jealously.
There's a % of truth there, but only a small one.
