my guess is your talking about the quick release skewers and there is basically 2 sizes (lengths) road or mountain.

i also suggest you delete this post before you get flamed for asking a "newbie" question. nest time you have a basic question search or pm me to eliminate public humiliation. people can be rude here.

edit: dont leave though, the angst here is hilarious. expect pictures of cats soon!

your guess is wrong. The track version comes with screws that require allen keys to loosen the wheels.

he was asking about security "screws" it sounded like he had a normal hub and wanted a bolt on skewer

no he was just asking screw size. Nothing was said about the security ones for QR hubs (unless he edited before I got to see the original post and if that's the case then I should shut up :)). Yes, the A-spoke track wheels screw into each side like how Phil has it on the track hubs

the original post was edited. he asked "what size screw does my aerospoke have? i want to replace it with the security style"

then i posted those links, he thanked me, and edited the post. i assuemed that what was what he wanted. unfortunatly i may have been wrong. he may have wanted:

AH

My campus police have them too. It always gives me a kick to see them, but then I'm saddened by the waste of cash.

Another perfect example of the expression "your tax dollars at work".

Sucks, right?
