I recently stumbled in to a free ISM Adamo.

I have been having trouble riding my felt saddle for over 2 hours lately. Chaffage+numb = unhappy.

Well anyway, I've heard a lot of good and bad things about the ISM. Either people seem to love it or hate it.

I threw my bike on trainer tonight, and tried roughly following the set up instructions. I jumped on for 5-10 minutes and it was too high compared to my old seat, dropped things down about .5-.7cm. Better.

Rode for another 10 minutes. Slid it forward about 1.5cm(I started with it too far back, because most people report starting with it too far forward). Leveled it out a little bit at the same time.

Rode another 10 minutes and moved it forward 1 more cm. In the end it was about over my BB, to maybe 1cm in front; my old saddle was about 3cm in front.

The last adjustment was kind of an "ahh yes" moment. It really started feeling right.

Some side notes:
it came pre-zip tied to narrow the nose up a little bit
it weighed 275 grams on the dot

I have to admit, I just have a hard time ever spending $165 on a saddle. Getting this used one for next to free was nice. I'll report back after I get it outdoors, and also a little more time on it.

I had no problem spending the $125 new at my LBS for this saddle, my boys said they would pay 10x that much. When adjusted properly, took me couple rides to do so, this is the most comfortable saddle (for me) on a TT/Aero bike. Side note, I know that many people zip tie the nose (like the OP), I did not have to do this to get to the correct setup.

I agree, this isn't the most comfortable, but I haven't had any "issues" since I put it on. I did a century right after putting it on the bike and it worked great. I'm bigger than most riders at 200 lbs, so I was putting a lot of pressure on key points down there. For me, it works great and I get the relief I need. My sit bones are a little more sore, but everything works like it should afterwards.

Mine rides level (since I would slide off if it was level).

I would have like to try a Selle SMP (used on Ebay), but decided against it. Mine was worth every penny. Good luck with your Adamo.
